About Sailtime Channel Islands
SailTime Channel Islands began in 2004. It was the second base to
open for the leader in fractional sailing. A second boat was added in
2005 and two Hunter 36's were added in 2006. It's a family business
shared by Chris and Colin Tucker.
Chris's grandfather taught his father how to sail, who in turn taught
him and so it was natural for Colin to become the eager fourth
generation of Tucker sailors. Chris handles the marketing and sales
while Colin is the Fleet Manager in charge of keeping the boats
sparkling and in perfect running order.
The commitment is to provide the best possible equipment for members
to enjoy sailing experiences with their families and friends. In
addition, the Tucker's have a keen perspective towards their
responsibility to the Owner Members participation in the program. We
hope to add two to three boats each year which translates into
providing the sailing opportunity to an additional 15-20 people a year.
The Channel Islands Harbor area is undergoing a substantial
redevelopment which will bring all facilities up to new condition. We
are excited to be here as a part of it all.
In partnership with Sail Channel Islands and Captain Dan Ryder, we
are able to offer a complete ASA sailing school and captained or
crewed charter opportunities through our shared ownership of SV
Sancerre.
