About Sailtime Channel Islands SailTime Channel Islands was started in 2004 by Chris and Colin Tucker. It was the second base to open for the international leader in fractional sailing. In the summer of 2011 STCI transferred ownership to Jon and Nicole Trautman. It was started as a family business then and it continues on as one now. Jon has been sailing since he learned on small Sunfish and Lasers at age 10. Nicole started sailing occasionally later in life, but Jon finally set the hook when he bareboat chartered the two of them around the Leeward Society Islands of Tahiti for their honeymoon. Nicole focuses on the marketing and sales while Jon spends most of his time as Fleet Manager in charge of keeping the boats gleaming and in perfect running order. The commitment of SailTime Channel Islands is to provide the best possible equipment for our members to enjoy sailing experiences with their families and friends. In addition, the Trautman's have a keen perspective towards their responsibility to the Owner/Members in the SailTime program, with the goal of smoothly facilitating boat ownership in a way that is as beneficial to the Owner as possible. We currently have four beautiful boats in our fleet, two Hunter 33's and two Hunter 36's. We hope to add one to two boats each year which translates into providing this premier sailing opportunity to an additional 15-20 people a year. 2011 marks the 10th Anniversary since the founding of the SailTime brand on Lake Travis in Austin, Texas. Now, in addition to SailTime's exclusive arrangement with Hunter Marine, we're very excited to announce that SailTime has recently partnered with Gemini Catamarans.
