Ahoy!
July had virtually no bad sailing days to speak of. There was a great mix of warm light winds and plenty of 10-15 knot days. It really doesn't get any better than this and the boats saw good use. August ushers in the late summer conditions we expect when the desert heats up and the cool ocean air rushes to fill in. Most August days will find 15-20 knots of wind in the middle of the channel by mid afternoon. Light wind sailing is the norm in the early part of the day. Just sail out and up the coast till it builds and then turn home and ride it like a sleigh ride.

May 8-22 - 4th Annual Captain Cruise - We are headed for Sicily and the Aeolian Islands. It's time to start planning !
NOTICES
Frolic Notes - You are encouraged to Captain your SailTime boat in our monthly frolic organized by Imagine member Dwight and Chris Landis. In a perfect world there would be a different boat member each month captaining and other members of your boat crewing for you. It would give you experience and let the members of each boat get to know each other better. We tend to see the same members each month which is fine but we'd like to see you too!
First Ever Owners Challenge - The October Frolic Date we are going to try something different. Each boat Owner is going to Captain their boat. The smaller boats will get handicapping and all five boats will race out to Gina and back followed by a Mega Frolic Dock Party. Dwight Landis is organizing this interesting idea as well! HipHipHooray!
BVI Fall Flotilla - I have one empty cabin on our Catamaran for the Nov 5-12 sojurn to the BVI. We have room for another boat as well. Members from our base, some folks form the East as well as a contingent from the UK will meet up for a great week of sailing in paradise.
Sicily 2010 - May 2010 seems a ways off but we are planning in earnest for this much anticipated trip. Two weeks of sailing and eating our way through historic Sicily. What a great way to tie in your European Vacation next Spring ! Contact me for more info.
