Captains Cruise 2009 in the Books !

Published by sailtimeci at 4:50 am under SailTime

We had a most memorable two week respite from the “real world” in the Bahamas that included 10 days of catamaran sailing in the Sea of Abaco. I knew it was going to be a special place and it did not disappoint anyone who participated!

Thirteen of us divided into two Moorings 43 foot Catamarans that afforded comfort and let us go just about anywhere we wanted in this exceptionally shallow body of water. When there wasn’t much wind we snorkeled to our hearts content. I think the snorkel experience was better than anywhere I’ve been with an abundance of fish and remarkably healthy coral reefs. We ate conch till we couldn’t eat any more and then switched to grouper and snapper. The fresh seafood was certainly a highlight.

Put this destination on your charter bucket list. It is not to be missed! Look for a complete trip report in my next post.
