Full Moon Friday Night Frolic
We took two boats out last night for our annual Full Moon Friday Night Frolic which saw about 15 members participate. Was it the sunset, the moonrise, the people, or the party that made this such a good time ?
In this pic, Bodacious, struts her stuff as the sunset reflects off her hull. To start, we had a rollicking sail out to Gina, the oil platform, which is about 3 miles off shore. The wind was between 10-17 knots and the seas were kicking up from stronger winds rolling down the Santa Barbara Channel earlier in the day. The sun set and we tacked back to an incredible moon rise over the Santa Monica mountains. Once back at the harbor we all gathered on Sancerre for a party with finger food, good wine and story telling all around. A great way to end the week and kick off a Spring weekend !
