Owners Challenge Rocks the Docks!

Published by at 5:54 am under SailTime

I think we found a fun new Annual excuse for a party! Last weekend we held the First Annual Owners Challenge. It was organized by the Frolic Dock Commodore and MOY, Dwight and Chris Landis. Each Boat Owner captained their Hunter and the Members crewed in a fun race. The action was hard fought in light and dying airs that finally gave up all together. The race was called and the winner determined as position closest to Gina… Then the fun began.

To be sure, the largest dock party this sailing club has ever had was witnessed with people spread out all over our piece of territory on Dock C. As is usual, new friends were made, old acquaintances renewed. plenty of sailing tales swapped and talk of exotic trips past, just on the horizon as well as off in the future. About the only thing missing was you, if you weren’t there. We’ve got plenty of space and this thing they call the “off season” around here actually consists of some of the best sailing conditions of the year!

Hey Chris…I love the music score on this! The Owner’s Challenge gathering was great day as a SailTime member.

You know its the right tune when it exactly matches the length of time of the video. then you listen to it and the match is rather uncanny. Jefferson Airplane circa 1972 – That OC was big fun!
