SailTime Sailors Resolutions for 2009

Published by sailtimeci at 12:14 am under Sailing

We’ve come to the end of another year which gives me this one last chance to post another great sunset photo. I promise; this is the last one I’ll post this year ! I snapped this one at the anchorage behind the reef at White Bay on Jost Van Dyke on our just concluded final flotilla of the year down there. In the past five years with SailTime, I have been lucky enough to sail the BVI at least twice a year. But in all those times I have never gotten to spend a night at White Bay. I’ve looked many times but this was the first time there was an opening. in fact it was nearly deserted – and we enjoyed it thoroughly !

This time of year is a good time to make some resolutions for the new year. Here are my sailing resolutions. They probably are a lot like yours, or maybe you’ll find one to add to your list.

- I’ll work even harder to introduce more people to SailTime in 2009

- If I’m on a sailboat at dawn or dusk I will have more “set” pictures !

- Sail somewhere new, like the Abacos in June & start planning for Italy 2010

- Make it back to the BVI’s, purely to show more people what sailing paradise is

- Get out on the BFG, Sancerre, MUCH more often.

- Poke around on our little Sweet Deal more than the 1x I did this past year…

- Keep trying to wear my new boat shoes even though the beat up old ones feel so good!

Yes, please no more sunsets!! Ha ha – very nice picture and hey there is a catamaran in it! Love the resolutions, but I didn’t see any mention of coming to Mexico and sailing on a cat… hmmmmm. :)

I resolve to be even more grateful for the wind, the waves, for the time on the water and with friends. Chris, I’m always grateful for Sailtime and your efforts to help keep us on the water more than on the dock. Peace and happy sails in the new year!
