Too Close for Comfort!

OK! We are on a good run here with two measurable rain events this Fall. It will take a bunch more to end the drought (can you really end a drought in the desert?) but it’s great to see. My handy rain gauge in the Channel Islands Harbor, measured 3/4 of an inch of rain  out of this round. Now it has cleared off and a stiff breeze in the mid 20’s has really kicked up the sea. Kiteboarders are out in force!

As the storm cleared away it left this sundown view of the mountains. Wow! That snow line is low…too low… only about 2000 feet. We are supposed to get a break tomorrow and then another round and perhaps a third round behind that!
