My friends Jim and Heather have returned to Ventura County on their big beautiful Ocean Cat. They left to find fame, fortune and a different way of life in the La Paz area before the bottom fell out of every last thing a year ago. When things didnt go exactly as planned they packed up and cruised Mexico before taking a nice slow return trip to SoCal.

Colin and I were filling up the boats with fuel for their weekend assignments when I spotted Meerkat. Of course I didnt have my camera with their smiling faces peering out to say howdy. But on the second run, I did. Of course, they werent around but i snapped one anyway. If you pay close attention here, I have been following them through their blog for the past year. but if not, you can still catch up with them here. While the boat dealer Jim worked for before they left is now history, there are still plenty of boats in need of his expertise, including me. So despite not being happy to see them back, I’m glad they are!
