Welcome New Members!
We shout out a hearty welcome to new SailTime Channel Islands Members, Kelli and David Anderson. They have chosen to join our Hunter 33, Rainbow. The busy couple chose to take up sailing now, so they could become proficient by the time their toddler and baby-on-the-way are able to crew for them!
They moved to Southern California to be near the ocean. Now that they learn to sail, they both agree they will be able to fulfill their shared goal of getting on the water and not just looking out at it! The two completed ASA 101 and 103 in a very short time and David even aced the written test! Now they are qualified to take Rainbow out and sail it themselves. An important aspect to sailing lessons is the need to practice what you have learned to become a proficient and confident sailor. The SailTime membership sailing club provides the platform for lots of sailing at an affordable flat rate which is a superior alternative to any other way of getting on the water regularly.
