Will She or Won’t She – Fay Prepares to Pummel

Published by sailtimeci at 9:43 pm under Random Thawt

If I could figure a way, I would live in the Virgin Islands…on a big yacht. But so far, I haven’t figured the way. So, at least once a year, I talk enough people into joining me there for the great sailing and the wonderful people found there. As such, I spend a lot of my time during hurricane season anxiously looking out for my “nature’s little secret”. Right now 92L is about to be called TD6 or Fay, which would make it the 6th named storm of the 2008 hurricane season. Im watching the web cam at Saba Rock and its pouring there already. If the system wobbles west instead of scooting north it could cause real havoc and be setting up for H-time in Florida or go into the Gulf of Mexico. Stay tuned !

21:30  UTC 8/14/08 NOAA image – That front rolling through Florida could shunt Fay into the Gulf or cause her to stall in the Northern Caribbean – or – it could pick the whole mess up and drag it out into the Atlantic. I will be going down there in November and so my non-professional weather watching will only intensify from here on !
