Keeping Your Boat Ship Shape

Imagine gets regular weekly cleaning and maintenance but we rely on our members to help us keep the boat clean and ready for the next member.

You are expected to completely clean up after your use. This includes always washing down the hull (sides) of the boat. If you put salt water on the top side it also means you need to rinse the whole boat and squeegee the glass and dodger. If you eat in the cockpit you will need to rinse down that as well.

Down below, please give the head a quick disenfectant spray and wipe the bowl. Also make sure all counters are wiped down and the floor is either wiped or vacumed depending on how many crumbs you leave.

Get a FREE month of membership ! Refer us a new Member or an Owner/Member and we'll give you a free month ! 1 space available now !

Beware of the seasonal VERY high tides January 8-15. Make note of when they are occuring and take caution at the breakwater accordingly.

Ahoy Mateys !
The sailing school at SailTime Channel Islands continues to graduate more skippers and their families/crew. Please schedule your lesson time in advance directly with me.

This month we toast Skipper Gary Bergman. I expect to graduate a few more in the coming weeks and perhaps a couple spouses and family members as well !

This month we still have space in two very important clinics. Friday evening, January 21st, we will partake in a night sailing clinic. We'll be leaving the docks just as the sun goes down and navigate about in the growing darkness. This is guranteed to be fun and a good learning experience. if it is a clear night we are near to the full moon which makes for beautiful sailing.

Then, on Sunday morning, January 30th, we'll practice fog navigation maneuvers which will concentrate on using the GPS and radar electronics.

Call Chris to reserve your space and I'll look forward to seeing you for these two great clinics. We will be repeating our clinics again in the Spring for those of you who have not been able to join us recently.
