7/10-13 Ventura County Boat Show - This year we will be showing 1421! As always, we are looking for members who would like to talk to prospects about your experience with SailTime for a couple hours Fri, Sat and Sun. Here's the deal. We give you and your family free tickets to the show if you will do a 2-hour shift. It's a whole lot of fun. Let me know if you can help out.

7/19 - Full Moon Frolic - Another full moon shenanigans on the 36's. Looks like a grudge match out to Gina and back with some partying on the docks afterwards. To participate contact Dwight Landis who has taken the reins of this fun member run event. Dalandis@atec-online.com

8/9-10 - Join the Summer Flotilla - To Santa Cruz August 9 & 10. If you would like to participate, Rainbow is looking for crew. Varekai has not been booked. It appears Bodacious and 1421 are full. Sancerre will be the mother ship. Destination will be Yellow Banks.

October 9-12 - SailTime Rendezvous at Two Harbors on Catalina - SailTime sailors from Southern California will converge on Catalina for a get together at the same time as the annual Lattitude and Attitudes Party. Reserve your boat and get your crew together!.

11/8-15 - BVI N2C - Are you planning to graduate this fall? SailTime corporate has taken over the N2C program beginning with their first trip coming Nov 10-17, 2008. Being from the Left Coast, we are also planning a trip we are calling "BVI side b" awarding "non-sanctioned" Captain Emeritus to our graduating captains. We sail from November 8-15 and even though this will not be the N2C we have run for the past 4 years, it will have a slice of N2C for those of you who want to graduate on this trip as well and a new exicting itinerary. For travel planning, you need to arrive on Nov 7th and can depart in the afternoon of the 16th if time is tight. If you want, compare both trips. See what Corporate offers and compare what we do. Then choose! We have space for 6 boats max and preferably 5. 2 spots already taken. So that leaves 3-4 more boats. Get members to crew or bring a bunch of friends. Contact Chris for more information

6/7-6/16/09 - Captains Cruise in the Sea of Abaco - If you have already done the BVI, join us for the 3rd annual Captains Cruise when we will discover one of the great barrier reefs in the world, found in the Bahamas. This will also be our first experience using The Moorings charter company which offers a large fleet of catamarans. Three boats are already booked up with a total of five being allowed. Mike and Deana Ruel on Bodacious want to sail around the world and thought this would be a good place to hone their skills while they search for "the" boat

Jeff and Gisela Smith on Rainbow are looking for a family pastime they can share with their kids.

Maintenance continues in ernest this Summer - 1421 and Varekai got gel coat repair work done and Varekai had her anchor rode re-marked. Bodacious had her seasonal major engine maintenance. Imagine and Varekai are next up for that procedure.

Ahoy!
Did you get out on the water in June? It was sweet! July finds my dance card entirely full with lessons for beginners, a 104 expedition to the islands and charters. I am trying to pace myself and am thankful there are only so many hours in the day! I'm really looking forward to our first even flotilla out to Yellow Banks on Santa Cruz the second weekend of August. We'll take Sancerre out to act as the mothership and probably plan a afternoon get together on her for everyone. It should be a good time!

I am putting a call out to all Captains! Who wishes to to get to the next level and receive a certificate for ASA 106? I am looking for my first victim for a trip in the Fall. Now is the time to start planning.
