Ahoy Sailors!
April produced very little in the way of showers but it did produce springtime winds and lots of it. Some times, too much! But in between there was some great days for sailing. May is going to be an exciting month for SailTime around the world. We anticipate many new additions to the web site which is slated to be live for Members to see by the middle of the month. So keep your fingers crossed and watch for more information soon. Meanwhile make sure you get out on the water this month. It does a world of good for the attitude :-)

Many local SailTime members have joined Facebook recently and are having a lot of fun connecting with each other as well as the family and long lost friends. UPCOMING EVENTS
There are all sorts of sailing events planned for this Summer. Use this as a guide to help you plan!
May 9 - May Frolic Date - This will be an official Full Moon Frolic with the date falling on the Full Moon - contact Dwight Landis. RSVP
May 16 - Ventura Lunch Run - Reserve your boat and either open it up to other members or invite your own crew for a flotilla to Ventura Harbor for lunch.
Eat on board or join the group at Le Petit Cafe - RSVP via Meetup
June 6 - June Frolic Date - Some regular Frolickers will be on the Captains Cruise so this is your chance to step up! - contact Dwight Landis. RSVP
June 7-16 - Captains Cruise to the Sea of Abaco in the Bahamas so we can decide where to go next year!
June 20-21 - H&S Santa Cruzers Prisoners Sailstice Flotilla - join the H&S gang for a fun sail over to Prisoners Harbor - Contact Chris for more info. If you are planning to participate you MUST let H&S know so they have an accurate count
July 30-Aug 2 - H&S Summer Rendezvous at Catalina - Reserve your boat and get your crew ready for a party weekend at Two Harbors
Aug 1 - McNish Classic Boat Race - If you like to watch classic boats sail, do not miss this event
Aug 8-9 - Our annual Fleet Flotilla to Santa Cruz - Reserve your boat and plan to Join our second fleet cruise to Santa Cruz Island
Oct 8-11 - 3rd Annual SailTime Catalina Rendezvous - Make plans now and reserve your boat for this fun yearly SoCal SailTime event
Nov 5-12 - SailTime BVI Flotilla - Contact Chris now if you would like to crew on a boat or Captain a boat for our annual Fall sojourn to sailing heaven
NOTICES
Important Member Notice for the first two weeks of June - - Chris and Colin will be gone to the Captains Cruise. Captain Dan has offered to be the emergency contact if you have any problems or situations that need attention. Please call Dan at 805/750-7828 if you need help or something breaks. Of course, the cleaning crew will be MIA during these two weeks so bring a couple towels with you and give your boat some love when you are down here.
Are you planning to use the PLUS system to sail at another SailTime base? There is a button on your control panel at my.sailtime.com called PLUS. It tells you how to make a reservation for a boat in another location. Now, you do not try to chase down the base operator. Instead you call a central reservations number or fill out the easy online form to initiate the request. Easy as can be and slated to become even more easier. With locales in Australia, Italy, Wales, The UK and all sorts of other exciting destinations you can always have a day of sailing wherever your travels take you!
Spring Cleaning - The boats are getting their summer prep maintenance with sail washing and stainless polishing well under way
